Exciting Half Term Collaboration with The Lexicon, Bracknell


Little Muddy Boots are at The Lexicon this May half term and there are lots of fun activities planned.


Biodiversity

This half term, we are demystifying the meaning of biodiversity for children in a fun and engaging way. How do all the different kinds of life you find in one area, work together to maintain life and balance?   

Throughout half-term Little Muddy Boots are hosting lots of fantastic events at The Lexicon all based around learning about biodiversity. 

Tuesday 28th of May

Birds

Little Muddy Boots will share some little things that can really help boost the bird population in your green space, from plants that will provide food (such as berry laden trees), setting up a bird café so they have food year-round and putting up nesting boxes.

Wednesday 29th May

Bugs

While they may look tough, if bugs are put back in the wrong place they can die very quickly.

In this workshop Little Muddy Boots will teach you how to look after bugs properly by putting them back where you found them under logs or stones and how to make your own bug hotel to take home with you?

Thursday 30th May

Bees

Little Muddy Boots will share which pollen rich flowers you can plant, how to create a little bee nesting space, and how to provide a water source so those little bees can get a drink safely!

Friday 31st May

Blooms

Little Muddy Boots will share lots of tips for planting containers so every space, no matter how big or small can boost biodiversity by planting blooms.

Saturday 1st June

Butterflies

Little Muddy Boots will demystify the fascinating world of butterflies and moths.  You will learn how to make a butterfly feeding station and recognise different types of our fluttering friends.

There are limited spaces so do book early to avoid disappointment.

Classes are just £2.50 per child.

Suitable for Children aged 1- 7 years old.

These classes are one-off bookable classes for half term and tickets must be booked in advance. This is a stay and play session and parents must stay with their children for the class. To book your slot click here.
