A Cause Close to Our Hearts

June Kerr shares “The idea is that people come and bid on the postcards they like based purely on what appeals to them visually, not who created it. At the end of the event, someone might end with a postcard from a local celebrity or just be thrilled with a piece of art that speaks to them.” All proceeds from this event will support Homestart Bracknell Forest, a charity close to our hearts. We’ve partnered with them before, including during our Christmas giving tree initiative, and we are thrilled to continue supporting their incredible work.

How It Works

Here’s where the fun and mystery come in. Each postcard is displayed without any names attached. Visitors to the exhibition, held at Craft Coop Bracknell in Princess Square until 21 July, can place bids on their favourite pieces by submitting a slip with the amount they are willing to pay. The highest bidder for each postcard at the end of the exhibition wins the piece they love, and here’s the kicker—they won’t know if they’ve snagged a piece by a local celebrity or discovered a hidden gem of local talent until the very end!
